The Online Human Rights Network
of RN
Through the caravans that traversed
the entire State, reaching eight districts in the interior and two residential
zones in the capital, Rio Grande do Norte (RN) began to experience the beginning
of the fight for human rights. Now,
at the end of this year, these caravans will become a part of the mother of
all networks. The Rede RN de Direitos
Humanos Online (The Online Human Rights Network of Rio Grande do Norte
www.dhnet.org.br./redebrasil/rn) will be launched on the Internet—and will
have all the information necessary about accessing tools that protect human
rights in each of the 167 districts in the state. This year, the Network will
include the information brought up in 10 districts (eight of which were visited
by the Caravans plus Areia Branca, a city located in the Região Salineira - salt mining region -
and Natal). The Online Human Rights Network of RN will be an electronic version
of the Human Rights Network of RN. For each district, the contents will be
divided into the following sections: Executive, Legislative, Judiciary, Public
Ministry, Media, Non-Governmental Organizations, Human Rights Education, History,
Art and Culture, and a Center for Denunciations. The RN Network will be a
laboratory for the Online Human Rights Network of Brazil, which will include
twenty-seven state networks online, with the intention of including all the
5,562 districts in the country.
